Sam Hyde (real name unknown) is a fictional character within the SpongeBob SquarePants universe. He is speculated to be an extraterrestrial being from Outer Space whose main mission is to rid Earth of all life. He is 38 years old. Notably, he has a blood feud with Bubbles The Dolphin, although it is unclear why. He is best friends with Rayman and is acquaintances with Smuggington "Smug" Ward, and Sqadolf Squidler, who shares his far-right, neo-Nazi political ideologies.

At some point in the later episodes of Fanboy and Chum Chum, his body was impaled by alien cats during one of his school shootings, once it was revealed that he left the Troll Empire for the gangstas. He is now a vessel for Garfield who has captured a dying alien race known as the Morphoids who serve as the primary lesser forces for Tԋҽ Cσɳʂυɱҽԃ, a Tyranid-like warband for the Freaky Society and this alien species had been losing wars with other extraterrestrials headed by Marvin the Martian and the Martian Queen as well as the ⛧ 𝐍𝐞𝐨-𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 ⛧ who have been plucking their members off for their own ends for over 1000s of years. Sam Hyde being reborn is now united with Tԋҽ Cσɳʂυɱҽԃ with one goal, rid the world of the NPCs and ⛧ 𝐍𝐞𝐨-𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 ⛧ who have wronged the alien race and sent them to extinction. He now serves as Garfield's new owner because Garfield wanted to avoid hard work and just mooch off welfare.

Major Events[edit | edit source]

Part 2X (The Meme Saga)[edit | edit source]

Boating School Shooting[edit | edit source]

I'm just fed up with this world

-said the bitch

This incident involved Sam Hyde storming a local boating school, wreaking havoc and causing mass casualties within various citizens who attended Mrs. Puff's Boating School. His motivations behind this attack were a combination of personal vendettas and his larger mission to eliminate NPCs and those he deemed corrupt. This event has left an indelible mark on the history of his character as he added this notable shooting to his manifesto.

Edward Arc[edit | edit source]

The arc begins with Edward SquarePants’ descent into chaos in "Sandy Hoax" when he stumbles into a conspiracy involving holographic crisis actors and alien overlords called Zeta Reticulans at Sandy Hook, Bikini Bottom. After violently confronting the Zetas, Edward realizes he’s trapped in a web of manipulation and escapes, vowing to exact revenge. In the chapter "...And the Shooter's Name is Sam Hyde," Edward’s escalating mass killings are inexplicably blamed on Sam Hyde, sparking a surreal rivalry. As Edward assembles his army of infamous villains, the Breaking Baddies, SpongeBob and Patrick uncover the Zeta Reticulans' sinister plans, featuring their jellyfish-like colony ship, Morphoid, and their enigmatic leader, the Empress Machine. In "Tard Raging," the Bikini Bottom Police Force hires the Tard Wrangler to pursue both Edward and Sam Hyde, labeling them among the city’s biggest threats. The tension escalates in "Ship Interception," as the Megalonia Fleet, led by the Empress Machine, attacks Bikini Bottom. Patrick hilariously thwarts the invasion by eating turret fire and breathing destructive flames, forcing the Empress to retreat while vowing future retribution.

The saga crescendos in "The Day of Retribution," where Edward’s Breaking Baddies engage Sam Hyde in an explosive confrontation at Parkland High, only to be annihilated by Hyde. Sam cryptically declares August 12th as the true Day of Retribution before his alien identity is revealed, and he ends his life as a final act of defiance. Edward escapes, vowing revenge on SpongeBob and Bikini Bottom. The aftermath unfolds in "Abrasive Bros," where Abrasive SpongeBob exploits the chaos to consolidate power, infects allies like FitzPatrick with his virus, and allies with modded Super Smash Bros. characters to manipulate the public. As tensions escalate, Bikini Bottom faces the fallout of Edward’s vendetta, alien invasions, and SpongeBob’s destructive antics, leaving the fates of its residents teetering on the edge of absurdity and annihilation.

Stealing the Secret Formula[edit | edit source]

In the Meme Saga arc, "Dark Closure," Sam Hyde’s acquisition of the secret formula was not an act of random chaos but a meticulously planned operation. Xehanort was also seeking the formula but Sam Hyde had beat him to the punch. Unlike other thieves who sought to exploit the formula for financial gain or culinary prowess, Hyde’s interest was far more esoteric. To him, the formula was more than a recipe for the ultimate burger; it was a cipher, a key to unlocking hidden truths that could reshape human understanding of reality itself. Under the cover of night, Hyde infiltrated the hyper-secure headquarters where the formula was stored. His approach was unconventional—rather than brute force, he relied on subterfuge and psychological manipulation. Security cameras captured fleeting glimpses of him, always just out of reach, leaving behind cryptic notes and philosophical musings that baffled the guards. By the time anyone realized the formula was missing, Hyde had disappeared, leaving a trail of fragmented symbols and riddles that hinted at his true intentions.

Hyde’s theft wasn’t motivated by greed or culinary ambition. For him, the secret formula represented something infinitely more profound compared to that of Plankton's goal of just making a better burger than the Krusty Krab. He believed it was a microcosm of the universe, a perfect balance of elements that mirrored the structure of reality itself. This belief drove him to risk everything to possess it, not as a means to create burgers, but as a tool to unravel the mysteries of existence.

The Gateway Process[edit | edit source]

The Gateway Process is an esoteric methodology aimed at transcending physical limitations and accessing higher dimensions of consciousness. Originating from a blend of ancient mysticism and modern neuroscience, it involves a combination of meditation, frequency manipulation, and focused intent to synchronize the brain’s hemispheres and tap into a unified field of energy. Sam Hyde, ever the iconoclast, saw an undeniable connection between the secret formula and the Gateway Process. He theorized that the intricate balance of ingredients and proportions within the formula mirrored the harmonic frequencies necessary for accessing the Gateway. In his view, the formula wasn’t merely culinary; it was a metaphysical blueprint for enlightenment.

Hyde began a series of experiments, combining the principles of the Gateway Process with the knowledge encoded within the formula. He used binaural beats tuned to the “flavor frequencies” embedded in the recipe and conducted meditation sessions while visualizing the symbolic structure of the formula. According to his cryptic journal entries, these sessions yielded remarkable results: vivid visions of astral landscapes, encounters with beings of light, and an overwhelming sense of unity with the cosmos. Never actually making the burger itself, he used the ingredients to seek a larger than life phenomenon. But Hyde’s exploration didn’t stop at personal enlightenment. He believed the Gateway Process, augmented by the formula’s hidden knowledge, could open portals to other dimensions. Whether these dimensions held higher truths, alternative realities, or even the origins of existence itself was a question he was determined to answer. To Hyde, the secret formula wasn’t just a key to great taste—it was a gateway to the infinite.

Buddies With Rayman[edit | edit source]

Role Within the Tröll Empire[edit | edit source]

Death and Creation, a Tröll Empire Story[edit | edit source]

Sam Hyde woke up, completely probing himself after an unknown, highly unsettling experience. His surroundings were disorienting, like he'd stumbled into a nightmare version of a destroyed school yard with traces of lasagna markings and scratch marks everywhere, and a smell that could only be described as existential dread, it was the smell of cat. He looked around, and there they were: two Species-X aliens, their lanky squid like forms and glowing eyes staring at him like they’d just caught a human in their web, then he was sent to another floor room inside the school ruins, but this floor didn't seem familiar with the forces of Tröll Empire. All of a sudden, he was surrounded in a room that was filled with bio-organic technology. Sam didn’t even have time to process the situation before something darker appeared.

Suddenly, the air turned thick with tension, and a figure emerged from the shadows, towering over the aliens. It was Garfield who had been freed from the chains of the NPC Alliance and the Vermillion Army who himself that was a chaos god, the kind of demon that doesn’t just show up to fight; it shows up to dominate. With a chilling growl, he flexed his dark powers about to call his enemies for what they were, nothing but "lasagna", the very walls around them shaking. "Got anywhere to hide, Hyde, you could either be my next meal, or better yet, I can enslave you and force you to be my new pet owner! That would make Jon, mad! Meow!" he boomed, his voice like the growl of an ancient predator.

The Morphoids recoiled, but Sam? He was just confused. Why had he ended up here? Why was he the one getting dragged into this cosmic mess? Before he could think much further, the paws of Garfield's destruction caught his attention. Without warning, Sam tried to hide away from the mean and bad kitty cat, like a character in a bad video game. He stumbled into the remnants of a place he used to know—Pizza Castle. Or rather, the defunct remains of it. He was sent out of there? Of all places? The area was deserted, a shell of its former self. Sam looked around, scratching his head. One thing was clear: no matter what happened next, he was in for a ride, and no one was going to explain anything to him. Left with nothing, but his gun, he quickly figured out that the Satanists, the Agency, and NPCs were the enemy. His mind had then faded out, and he was now a vessel for Garfield and Tԋҽ Cσɳʂυɱҽԃ, nothing but a hollow shell with a shared hivemind for a being he had never met or seen.

Sam Hyde Vs. Omni-Man[edit | edit source]

In a dimension where chaos reigned supreme, Sam Hyde and Omni-Man squared off, each with wildly different ideas about Earth’s future. Omni-Man, the serious, all-powerful alien conqueror, was convinced humanity needed to be subjugated for the greater good. Sam, however, just wanted to see the world burn, powered by his new Morphoid and Chaos God abilities. As Omni-Man flew at him with a punch that could end entire cities, Sam merely grinned, barely dodging the blow.

Sam, barely breaking a sweat, fired a shot from his railgun. "Stop you? Nah, pal. The future’s on fire, and I’m the one holding the matches." The blast sent Omni-Man tumbling to the ground, but before Sam could gloat, a new problem emerged—♅ Neo-Satanists ♅, a group of interdimensional beings who looked like they’d never missed a "villainous monologue" class. With dramatic flair, they appeared, completely ruining the fun.

Fight With a Dolphin[edit | edit source]

Sam Hyde’s fight against Bubbles the Dolphin in the 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 Saga is an explosive clash of chaos versus cosmic precision. Encountering Bubbles during an interdimensional breach caused by the Morphoid in an episode containing a flashback. Sam Hyde finds himself facing the hyper-intelligent celestial being who controls reality-altering powers through harmonic frequencies. Bubbles, disgusted by Sam's destructive antics and his defiance of cosmic balance, unleashes a barrage of ultrasonic attacks, fracturing the fabric of space around Bikini Bottom. Sam Hyde retaliates by using the Morphoid technology he scavenged, enhancing his knife with alien energy to destabilize Bubbles' harmonics. The battle escalates as Sam Hyde manipulates the battlefield with chaos, forcing Bubbles to channel an enormous burst of cosmic energy to end the fight. Though Sam Hyde is ultimately overpowered, he escapes through a rift, vowing to use his new knowledge of Gary's past as an alien wizard to turn Bubbles' cosmic order into chaos and now seeks to free Gary of his prison.

The Plan To Awaken Gary[edit | edit source]

(Watch Theorizer videos for more context)

In the canon episode "Jellyfish Jam" as Spongebob's house was being taken over by jellyfish, Gary arbitrarily decided to start clanking his eyes together. As soon as he began clanking his eyes, every jellyfish in spongebob's house froze and began dancing in harmony to the sound he was creating. Soon after Spongebob and Gary lead the jellyfish out of the house, using gary as the lure. Though it may have been the sound they were attracted to, it may also have been that Gary was using telekinesis in order to remove all the jellyfish in Spongebob's house. This attack was brought by Sam Hyde as he commanded them to attack, however, this attempt failed.

Gary the Snail has always seemed like a simple mollusk, but according to Sam Hyde who has seen him in the pocket dimension pertaining to The Librarian of the Galaxy, that's just the tip of the iceberg. Gary's true form resides in the 4th dimension, a realm where the inside and outside of objects are no longer separate. Sam, driven by his chaotic ambitions, seeks to unleash this hidden power and bring Gary's multidimensional form into our reality. To understand the 4th dimension, imagine this: if you could see a sphere inside an opaque box, you'd be witnessing 4D perception. Light passes through the box, hits the sphere, and reflects back through the box into your eyes—revealing the sphere despite the barrier.

This mirrors how we see 3D characters on TV, a multi-layered perception that hints at the 4th dimension. Consider a piece of 2D paper shaped like a letter. In 3D, you can flip that paper upside down, and a 2D being could never flip it back—they're confined to their plane. Now, in the 4th dimension, the same applies to 3D objects. A 4D being could mirror and manipulate a 3D shape in ways we cannot fathom or reverse. Gary, in his ultimate form, would possess this power. He could interact with 3D space, flipping, mirroring, and reshaping objects like toys. To us, these actions would seem impossible—a surreal force beyond comprehension. Sam Hyde's quest to awaken Gary's multidimensional potential isn't just about power; it's about fundamentally altering how we perceive reality itself.

Possible Connection With Angels[edit | edit source]

As Sam Hyde's chaotic journey through dimensions unfolded, he discovered a startling truth about his own existence: he was part angel and the demons of the Heartless, the Depths of Hell, and the Satanists now ⛧ 𝐍𝐞𝐨-𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 ⛧ have been persecuting them along with the Imperium of Gods. This revelation came during an encounter with a mysterious figure known only as the Seraph, who appeared in a burst of otherworldly light. The Seraph explained that Sam's unique abilities were not just random mutations or alien gifts—they were remnants of a once celestial lineage. The Seraph further revealed that members of Tԋҽ Cσɳʂυɱҽԃ could also be fallen or lost angels, their true nature obscured by the hive mind's corruption. Even more bizarre, some angels including Lucifer were not humanoid at all but took the form of massive, cosmic squid-like entities—beings of incomprehensible power. These space squid angels were said to traverse the cosmos, weaving the threads of fate and occasionally intervening in mortal affairs. Sam began to see patterns in his encounters, from the enigmatic Species-X aliens to his own unpredictable powers.

Sam Hyde Vs. Jon Arbuckle[edit | edit source]

Weapons[edit | edit source]

  • Sam Hyde's main weapon is a futuristic weapon resembling a standard machine gun that functions as a railgun, firing "Nuclear Pulsars"—micro-reactor-powered bullets that release localized bursts of nuclear energy on impact. With adjustable yield and a plasma trail marking each shot, it balances devastating firepower with precision, creating concussive shockwaves or explosive annihilation. Its sleek design and ominous glow underscore its destructive potential, making it a tool of unparalleled chaos in the hands of an enigmatic figure like Sam Hyde.
  • His other weapon is a stealthier weapon, designed to choose vessels for Tԋҽ Cσɳʂυɱҽԃ, at least for those who have not been corrupted and manipulated by the ♅ 𝐍𝐞𝐨-𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 ♅ yet. This weapon designed for rapid-fire devastation and can replace host bodies with aliens or alter DNA. These sidearms fire high-velocity, micro-reactor bullets similar to his main weapon but at a fraction of the power, delivering concentrated nuclear energy bursts in rapid succession.
