Super Origami Kingdom (currently known but defunct as Super Origami Universe) is a YouTube channel that centers around an ever-changing group of "Users" who typically rant on movies and media. This is a archive of the Wikitubia page but due to a dumbass by the name of EdwardBloxy deleting it out of spite, it was hard to archive this due to the one we used being a old version so yeah.

The group started to form in 2021. The groups creation was something of an alignment of situations. DogsEatingDogs6 or known simply as DED6 (Now known as Aster of Aether), the groups most prolific member, was in his mashup phase where he was mixing various versions of lyrical adaptations of video game music. Meanwhile, Mr. L Productions, a much smaller YouTuber, who made content that DED6 would go on to use in mashups, was introduced to DED6 via a mutual friend, "BOOM! Fanfic-a-latta!". A common commenter on both channels was a user called Naayle. Both Naayle and DogsEatingDogs6 joined Mr. L Productions' now-private Discord server and then eventually, Naayle created a server dedicated to this group of people who shared the same particular interest in video game songs. These three then added various other users, many hailing from a group called the Grand Finalists (a group dedicated to the creation of DED6's fifth iteration of In The Final/The Grand Finale from Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story). This original server, now deleted, was the basis for SOK's growth.
Throughout 2021, Naayle and DogsEatingDogs6 began collaborating on a amateurish-quality musical based on the 2020 video game Paper Mario: The Origami King. Simultaneously, DED6 began to branch out to Nostalgia Critic/Angry Video Game Nerd style rant videos, his first being a rant on the 1990s Schumacher flop "Batman & Robin". Naayle decided he wanted to do a rant too, and soon enough Super Origami Kingdom was born. After an un-noteworthy video about Everything Wrong With Hotel Mario, Naayle's first rant came out on SOK, with Norm Of The North as the subject matter. This rant remains as one of few public videos on the channel. More rants soon followed, including the infamous raging Sausage Party rant featuring ex-member TamatoaGamingDa, a double rant on Foodfight and Fish & Chips featuring Multifandom Fangirl (formerly SPMFangirl), and a somewhat lackluster "calm rant" on The Mummy (2017) featuring Mr. L Productions. This was soon followed by another Naayle rant on The Emoji Movie.
As 2021 drew to a close, so did the first chapter of SOK. Mr. L Productions went on a brief hiatus for around a month, at which point, Naayle invited a plethora of new users into the fold, most notable and the most infamous among the bunch being Astro Boy Productions and Jason Gomez The Dinosaur. Around this time is when the group started to reach a boiling point with tensions with a group of internet trolls who were collectively known as "The Omni Kings". This would result in a rant video on DogsEatingDogs6's channel (which he had been advised not to do by a returning Mr. L, who had retired from making any content for the group, taking on a managerial role). At the meantime Astro Boy himself have also released his very own rant video in the same vein as DED6's rant video, targeting a lone troll named "CatboyJosemi". Meanwhile, other new members began causing friction within the group, old members began to leave (most notably BOOM!, who had been voicing Olivia in The Origami King Musical). The brand pushed out new videos, such as rants on the 1993 Super Mario Bros movie and YouTube channel SML, a rant on Ice Age: Collision Course, and a rant on Surf's Up 2: Wavemania. Each rant got progressively longer, filled with more users and more characters voiced by said users, more filler content, and increasingly lengthy "punishment scenes", where the subject of the rant would be destroyed by the cast of the rant.
Around mid-2023, the long-dormant TOK Musical, halted after Act 5's release by the departure of various cast members, was revived, the final act written entirely by Mr. L Productions, who would then recast the empty roles, as well as change the style of the musical to steer away from what made Acts 4 and 5 the most criticized. In doing this, questions arose about if Naayle should be in power or not, after a slew of drama and productivity issues. A new server was created, and Mr. L became the new head honcho, directing things with more order. However, after the release of the finale, Act 6 of The Origami King Musical, a coup d'état soon took place, instigated by an internet troll who had infiltrated the server and convinced everybody to revolt again Mr. L's new orders. He and acquaintances were cast out of the group. This came shortly after the YouTuber DeadwingDork had started streaming commentary on the Super Origami Kingdom's material, calling to question their quality and their past actions (notably, DED6's Family Guy and Omni King rants). It was also at this time that it was discovered that frequently featured user TamatoaGaming Da had done some unsavoury things in the past involving minors. Mr. L was in the process of removing Tamatoa from the group before he'd been overthrown. Because of this, Tamatoa remained in the group for the time being.
Going into 2024, the groups' infamy rose as more YouTubers, such as BlackBrainz, Raven Skeleton, Dr. Storm and the earlier mentioned DeadwingDork, began drawing attention to the groups' videos and even making humourous parodies of the group, including mock rant videos and even a joke song impersonating Jason Gomez The Dinosaur, titled "User's Paradise", a parody of Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise". Various ex-members of the group, including Mr. L and Multifandom Fangirl, shared their experiences in these YouTubers' SOK-related livestreams. At some point, news of Tamatoa's allegations came to light, and #BoilTheCrab started to pop up within the niche community across various media platforms, which wished to see TamatoaGaming Da exiled. Within the group, longtime member Chad Peterson rose up the ranks of the group, continuing Mr. L's work for him, eventually posing to the group that Tamatoa should be booted. This resulted in Tamatoa's exile from the group. All content involving him was unlisted from YouTube. Soon after, unbeknownst to most in the community, Mr. L re-entered SOK, implementing new rules to the group and leading a total overhaul of the brand, featuring a new server. The channel, now known as Super Origami Universe, had released one new rant, featuring DogsEatingDogs6 ranting on the Skibidi Toilet phenomenon, which was praised for it's direction, a less shouty and more well thought-out rant compared to old videos. New members joined the group, most notable being Hydra Spectre and GiStar. Mr. L left the group, appointing an undisclosed Manager for the group to continue running things in his absence. The manager operates the majority of Super Origami Universe's Community posts and Comments, signing off their messages with an M (for Manager) to differentiate from DED6's occasional spontaneous posts. The group has clear plans for the future.
Hydra Spectre was then booted from the group with little fanfare before they could debut, as they'd been caught trying to defend Tamatoa's actions.
Unexpectedly, Super Origami Universe released their first positive video in what felt like eons as Chad Peterson presented a solo video about the redemption of Black Doom and Zavok, two initially criticised Sonic The Hedgehog villains.
Naayle, the original leader, is rarely seen anymore and is assumed to no longer be working with the group on any projects, but with his Velma rant looming in the future, it's unsure if he will return or not.
Super Origami Universe appears to be on track to continue uploading without any drama in sight. They gained a lot of popularity off the back of other commentary YouTubers spotlighting their flaws, which goes to show that any publicity can be good publicity.
Most of the videos that were removed from SOK, DED6, and TamatoaGaming Da's channels can still be found on YouTube thanks to various channels reuploading the videos as a way of archiving the tales of these Users.
2025:
2025 has brought much change. The Super Origami Universe cast list has grown, videos now release monthly on a variety of topics, from Legend Of Zelda movie speculations to a review of the Nintendo Switch 2 announcement direct (which featured the return of smashAlex21).
Naayle left the group privately in early 2025, dropping out of the planned Velma rant.
The group continue to release new videos, both positive and negative, with a much more civil attitude. Viewers have praised the group for changing, with Naayle himself commenting on the group's May 4th Star Wars video to compliment the improvement of the channel. Some viewers, however, miss the unrestricted insanity of the old videos, something the group looks to emulate with their upcoming Velma rant.
Their Velma Rant was the final one as it was announced that Super Origami Kingdom was over and will stop making videos on the channel but this was also GiStar's first appearance so thats nice as the people are moving on in other projects.
