I Have No Friends and I Must Smile is a psychological horror simulated reality sci-fi novel/shitpost created by the late, great jd knudson which was soon followed up with a peak film adaptation directed by peter griffin. the novel itself a haunting cautionary tale that foretold the dangers of the inevitable ai apocalypse and people who waste their time reading batshit insane fanfictions. It was written in 1492 and predicted the existence of Smiling Friends as a show.
