Smuggington "Smug" Shitwarde (otherwise known as Smugward or Goodward) is 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝓫𝓸𝓫's main pre-timeskip frenemy before the events of the SpongeBob SquarePants Cinematic Multiverse as well as the rival against Squ Berdon Anderes aka the Wahl Barba aka Gangsta Squidward. Being just Squidward, nothing about him had even remotely changed except for his desire to do positive things. His character is an alternate reality version of Brother Squidward from Cult of Squid whose journey remains largely the same until the start of the actual holy war where he's pulled into the much larger multiversal conflict after defeating Project Phoenix who after the time-skip joined the Satanists in the 5700s.

He was formerly just Squidward Tentacles himself prior to having the 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 Gene reject him after many years of seeking the 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 gene within the Troll Empire. Smugward prior to making enemies of the Good Society would successfully drive SpongeBob and allies out of the sea. Smugward would become a ruthless war criminal having overthrown the Satan within his universe having also sparked a holy war between the Aeons and Archons, he remains as a pawn to both factions. Prior to his formation of the cult, Smugward secretly enjoys getting tortured by 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝓫𝓸𝓫 and continues to get beaten.

SpongeBob comments on Squidward who was now Smugward joining the Tröll Empire after Plankton successfully took Mr. Krab's soul way after many arcs of both GoodBob, the 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 SUSiety!, and the cult.

Instead of doing freaky things, he does positive things instead, however despite this he sometimes allies with the 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴ers often getting used as a body for 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝓫𝓸𝓫 to torture. Smugward is the laughing stock of the Trolls and sides with a few of the trolls out of a desire to conquer the ocean, but he actually hates the trolls and would feel regret similar to when he destroyed SpongeBob during Fools in April and felt like a jackass. Originally he had enough of his antics and started a cult with the Cephalopod Lodge to drive out the Normies that were trying to set up rules against his racism. Eventually his minor troll allies would ended up back on the side of GoodBob by accident having sided with the Agency Against the 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 Society, but this alliance is temporary and only a means to an end because Smugward is a known liar and completely dishonest in regards to his plans of wanting to take over the ocean so that it can be ran by Squids. He shares similar world views with Mr. Game & Watch and encountered him a few times during the Collapse. Later he would conquer planets and wage war against the Project Phoenix and LRH who sold his people out to the Satanists over various territories that otherwise would belong to the Good Society. At the start of the NPC-𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 War, he would later cumback in the 5700s, unaware of what had just happened. Smugward's cult differs from a similar faction known as PWHNIWIGO, as a part of him is guilty for creating enemies worse than himself, however, he can't return to the past as he was involved in overthrowing Imperium territory and made direct enemies against both God and the devil himself placing him as an antagonist against the Collective Omniverse. Smugward is too stuck up and cares only about himself and his own goals. When he allied back with the Sponge who tortured him the most, he came with a Groyper army and Moon Man to ally with along with his fellow cult members. Smugward remains as a useful pawn in the Agency.
