Smuggington "Smug" Shitwarde (otherwise known as Smugward) is 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝓫𝓸𝓫's main pre-timeskip frenemy before the events of the Fanboy and Chum Chum: The Masterbation Diaries as well as the rival against Handsome "Chad" Squidward, an SCP Chad by Professor Poopypants requested by GoodBob to make up for Smugward's deranged behavior. The Härlequin Empire nemesis within the side of the heroes, starting off as a minor rival in the Meme Saga in which the NPC Alliance was still getting established, and would later be a major antagonist for the second half of Act 1 prior to the destruction of Earth, but after the Collapse of Bikini Bottom. He was formerly Squidward Tentacles himself prior to getting infected by 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂cooties. He would be one of the first freaktures being made before the 2010s events of the Fanboy and Chum Chum Lore and during the second half of the 00s post 2004 along with Modest Bob. The failure of those two Freaktures lead to 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝓫𝓸𝓫 needing to create Freaktures not based on previous existing bodies as most that infect regular citizens tend to be not 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 and backfire on him due to the nature of the results being unpredictable. At some point 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝓫𝓸𝓫 would make actual infectious 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂cooties that don't backfire post-COVID. Being one of the first unsuccessful 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴tures in a line of formerly successful infected allies, Smugward would be one of the first to outright oppose 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝓫𝓸𝓫, feeling home within the Cephalopod Lodge who would later wage war in the ocean promoting the rise of the Heritage Foundation and the Purification Committee's influence, an organization designed to purify any worlds that were infected with anything that was the opposite of pure. Smugward prior to making enemies of the Committee would successfully drive SpongeBob and allies out of the sea along with witness the last days of the Neptune regime and the rise of Vexter Finchard, a corrupt senator that was seeking to watch Neptune die at the hands of Kratos laid waste to the ocean to fight against the population that remained.

SpongeBob comments on Squidward who was now Smugward joining the Tröll Empire after Plankton successfully took Mr. Krab's soul way after many arcs of both GoodBob, the 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 SUSiety!, and the cult.

Instead of doing freaky things, he does positive things instead, however despite this he allies with the 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴ers often getting used as a body for 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝓫𝓸𝓫 to torture. Smugward is the laughing stock of the 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴tures and sides with them out of a desire to conquer the ocean. Originally he had enough of his antics and started a cult with the Cephalopod Lodge to drive out the Normies that were trying to set up rules against his racism because he had enough and formed the Cult of Squid which eventually allied with the Tröll Empire and ended up back on the side of 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂Bob by accident. Later he would conquer planets and wage war against the Project Phoenix and LRH who sold his people out to the Neo-Satanists over various territories that otherwise would belong to the Good Society. At the start of the NPC-𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 War, he would later cumback as a number of 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝓫𝓸𝓫's 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴ture army. Smugward's cult differs from the rest of the 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 SUSiety, a part of him is guilty for creating enemies worse than himself, however, he can't return to the past as he was involved in overthrowing Imperium territory and made direct enemies against the devil himself placing him as an antagonist against the Imperium. Smugward is too stuck up and cares only about himself and his own goals. When he allied back with the Sponge who tortured him the most, he came with a Groyper army and Moon Man to ally with along with his fellow cult members. Smugward secretly enjoys getting tortured by 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝓫𝓸𝓫 and continues to get beaten.
