World War III (第三次世界大戦, Daisanjisekaitaisen?) (Drittes weltkrieg) (Terza guerra mondiale), alternatively written as World War Three or World War 3, also referred to as the Third World War, is a major event, multi-global conflict, and war that happened during the second half of the prologue of the 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 Saga after the collapse of Bikini Bottom and the Second American Civil War. Unlike the previous two World Wars, instead of multiple countries on Earth fighting each other, World War III was a war between different crossover planets throughout the Solar System after the Dimensional Merge happened which was prophesied and foreshadowed by Chris-Chan many arcs before.
After the Dimensional Merge merged both Equestria and Earth together, a new unknown virus came to be from the extra-dimensional molecules from Equastria that severely spread across Earth and created another major deadly pandemic, even deadlier and more contagious then the 2020 Covid pandemic. In a few short years, it is estimated that Equstria's dimensional space will expand and flood Earth with more of it's extra-dimensional molecules that are dangerous to human D.N.A. and since humanity has nowhere else to go, they'll be stuck with it. To fix this, Princess Celestia decided to set up something known as the Conversion Bureaus. This offers humans the chance to be turned into ponies which would then make the deadly disease not an issue any more for humanity.
However, is that the process—which is called ponification—is heavily debated amongst earthlings and ponies, this leads to ideologues forming separate groups which of course leads to total World War. The two collations are that of the Human Liberation Front (HLF), which includes mostly all Earth countries and also all World Powers like United States, China, Russia, and many more; which are all very violently anti-pony. The other collation is that of the Ponification for Earth's Rebirth (PER). They see ponification as a sacrament which absolves humans of their vices, and which any human has the right to participate in it as long as they willingly choose. Although PER previously had the upper hand in the war, a mysterious army known as the NPC Alliance started providing assistance to the HLF, allowing them to not only recover their losses, but begin making their way into Equastrian territory.
On October 26th of 2018, Chris-Chan posted a video entitled "Dimensional Merge Announcements" where he outlined the process of Earth merging with its "sister dimension", where many fictional characters like that of My Little Pony exist and reside. He believes that once the merge occurs, Earth will be shared not only by Earthlings, but three-dimensional as well.
Later on, he explains that the merge will kill about 50% of humanity but naturally, since Chris is a massive narcissist, he believes that he will be guaranteed to survive the merge. He also believes that he would gain superpowers following the merge because of his belief that he is half-Sonichu.
Chris began to blame Russia for the delays of merge after the Russo-Ukrainian war began, which also just so happened to begin on Chris's 40th birthday. The trigger for the war was, of course, Putin personally pitching My Little Pony G5 which was obviously made to be Russian propaganda.

The Dimensional Merge finally happened in the series finale of the SpongeBob SquarePants's spin off series, Star vs. The Forces of Evil. In the finale, which is named Cleaved, Star Butterfly becomes a genocidal maniac and decides the only way to bring justice and peace to her country is by destroying all magic in her dimension which also results in 50% of the population dying since most characters in Star vs. are made out of magic. She, with the help of Marco and other characters I forgot about, are finally able to destroy all magic and "save the world" by nuking the fuck out the Realm of Magic.
Now that magic is destroyed, the Realm of Magic starts to physically collapse, the dimensional portals connected to it start to close, and Moon urges everyone to escape before they get trapped before they get trapped forever. Star tells Marco to go back to Earth before the Earth portal closes, even though this means they will never see each other again since magic portals do not exist any more after the destruction of magic. As Marco heads to the Earth portal, Star and the others go through the Mewni portal. However, Star, unwilling to be forever apart from her waifu Marco, goes back into the Realm of Magic to join him on Earth, but the Earth portal had already closed. Much to Star's surprise though, Marco never went through the portal and stayed behind for the same reason Star did, and both of them are now trapped in the collapsing Realm of Magic (kinky). Unsure and unconcerned with what will happen to them when the dimension blows up, Star and Marco embrace, believing they belong together no matter what. As they appear to accept their fate, the magic between them creates a swirling vortex underneath them as the entire dimension is enveloped in light.
Star ends up on Mewni, but just then, Tom shows Star a strange dimensional portal in the sky. Meanwhile, on Earth, the destruction of magic triggered an earthquake. Marco and Janna are being taken care of by paramedics, but then, Marco notices a dimensional portal in the sky identical to the one on Mewni, Janna distracts the paramedics so that Marco can go to it. In each of their dimensions, Star and Marco race to reach the portal before it closes, desperate to see each other again. But alas, the portal closes before they could reach it. After it closes though, it releases a massive explosive burst of light, and Marco cries, thinking he missed his chance to see Star again.
All of a sudden, dragon-cycles fly over the palm trees, and Marco sees Star standing across from him. The landscape is now lined with old castles and urban city buildings, unicorns and mermaids intermingle with auto-mobiles and helicopters, and the population consists of humans being terrified of the new horrifying reality they live in. As a result of the portal's explosion, the prophesied merge that Chris-Chan had warned humanity about had truly begun and now Earth and the fantasy realms have now been "cleaved" together. Star and Marco walk up to each other and exchange a short greeting and a smile, unaware of the fact that this event would lead to the most catastrophic war in human history and dooming both Humanity and Equestria forever.
Star would get killed somehow and then Marco went crazy and became a weird obsessed loser who's obsessed with children's feet like a particular Nickelodeon Employee. He also became the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom after Peach abdicated from the throne.
