The Wafia, also known as the Wario Mafia, emerged in the early 1930s and late 20s as one of the first large-scale organized crime syndicates within the notorious League of Gangstas. Founded by the cunning and greedy Wario, who operated under the alias “Wah Capone,” the Wafia quickly gained a fearsome reputation. At a time when the criminal underworld was ruled by ruthless ambition, Wah Capone proved himself to be both a master schemer and a shameless opportunist. His rise to power was swift, driven by an unrelenting desire for wealth and control, and his name soon became synonymous with intimidation, bribery, and elaborate schemes. Questioning their ethics is futile because you'll die instantly to the Wafia's hitmen. (Although most have never actually died to a member of the Wafia) The Wafia also hates Count Cannoli. Unsurprisingly, Wario was the Boss of the Wafia and Waluigi was the Underboss.

After threatening the education system in the 60s Saga, it is unknown if the Wafia after this will do anything again, though rumor has it they're being threatened not to do anything by their rival Passione as they have always been enemies with them ever since they rose in Italy in the 1980s. Eventually Wario would just give it up to HERO and now it's his issue/problem. But this means HERO is now a gang-star, so that's a thing I guess.

Overview

The evil Wafia group in the 1920s/1930s Saga.

The Wafia’s beginnings were rooted in the chaos of the Prohibition era, when the banning of alcohol created an underground gold rush for bootleggers and mobsters. Wah Capone saw opportunity where others saw danger, setting up smuggling routes, speakeasies, and an extensive network of loyal gang members. These operations not only made the Wafia immensely profitable but also ensured their dominance over rival gangs. The group’s power extended far beyond illegal liquor, however—they dabbled in gambling, protection rackets, and black-market trading, cementing their place at the top of the League of Gangstas’ hierarchy.

One of the Wafia’s most dangerous strengths was its ability to maintain loyalty among its members through a mix of lavish rewards and ruthless punishment. Wah Capone was known to shower his inner circle with riches, golden trinkets, and even entire crates of garlic (his favorite delicacy), but any hint of betrayal was met with swift and brutal retribution. Their influence also stretched into politics, with corrupt officials secretly aiding the Wafia in exchange for hefty bribes. By the mid-1930s, their grip on the city was so strong that even law enforcement tread carefully around their operations.

Eventually, the Wafia and its leader, Wah Capone, began to lose their grip on the underworld as heroes like Mario rose to challenge their reign. Once feared and untouchable, the gang found itself facing relentless opposition not only from these emerging do-gooders but also from within. Infighting tore through the ranks, as ambitious lieutenants sought to overthrow Wah Capone and rival gangsters launched bold schemes to outshine the founders’ legacy. With their once-loyal network splintering and their influence crumbling, the Wafia could no longer maintain its iron hold on the city. In time, the organization dissolved entirely, leaving behind only whispered legends of gold hoards, shady deals, and the fall of one of the League of Gangstas’ most notorious empires.

History

Part 1X

20s and 30s Saga

Both Wario and Waluigi ran a sprawling empire of illegal garlic-infused bootleg liquor, smuggling barrels through hidden warp pipes and distributing it to various citizens across the Mushroom Kingdom and Brooklyn. Bribery was second nature to the gang, Wah Capone bought off Toad Town officials, ensuring his operations stayed untouched by law enforcement. Even tax evasion couldn’t escape his greed, as he hoarded gold coins in hidden vaults, refusing to pay the kingdom’s treasury. These acts cemented Wah Capone’s reputation as the most feared—and flamboyant—crime boss in the League of Gangstas. The gang would later fall apart when a member known as Black Yoshi betrayed the two, as a key member the absence of Black Yoshi made the Wafia fall apart causing the police to take back the Wafia controlled city. Black Yoshi would later start the Black Society along with his rapping career never allowing the Wafia to return to their height of operations ever again. The Italian Mafia would rise again in Italy during around the same time as this conflict, forever making the Wafia fall apart with some of its members joining the Italian mob and others being apart of da hood.

60s Saga

In the 1960s the gang would prop up again with the desire to overtake Collage Board and get some of their income stream. Waluigi being the failure that he is, always hated school and wanted to fight the education system for his own wicked schemes. After being successful, the Wafia would go on to do bad things to good educated people and generally be evil towards them. Whatever bad things they had done to the education system during this era? Who knows! Gangsta Toadette would join the Wafia during this era because she hated the 1963 AP exams.

Wario got started by making test questions for the AP tests (usually the answer was garlic), and got promoted to AP Test Question Maker Assigner after he proved his worth to Collage Board. Sneakily he would be hiring both Waluigi and Gangsta Toadette to truly begin their evil work. Gangsta Toadette realized how much of a simp Tinky Winky was, would then use this technique called "prostitution" to become vice president of Collage Board, replacing Tinky Winky and then promoted Waluigi to Social Media Manager. Tinky Winky in panic gave the company to Waluigi and told him good luck. As you might have guessed, everyone was fired leaving only the 3 Wafia members in charge of the company. Later the corporation would file for bankruptcy after many months of investors complaining causing the company to fold and be transferred back to NPCs in the 1980s with a new boss, Bob Saget, to be in charge of the company.

Part 2X

Meme Saga

A new boss and simp would take over the education system after Wario and Waluigi attempted to make College Board 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 in the 60s. The normies being aware of Wario's actions in the 60s saw that the Wafia would return, and they did. This time however, it would be different, the Wafia was now back under the form of the 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 SUSiety! With this newfound legendary power of trolling Waluigi made a Reddit account called dinosauce313 and troll everyone and after NPC Alliance member Bob Saget saw how much eviler than him Waluigi now known as Mort was, and threatened to sue the 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 SUSiety! for being a bunch of unlawful degenerates. The NPC Alliance scrambled. Bob Saget went on live television, holding up printouts of Mort’s posts as “evidence of degeneracy,” but every broadcast was mysteriously interrupted by Wario’s grainy VHS tapes from the 60s—the ones where he tried to “make College Board 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂” by replacing essay prompts with pictures of garlic. Mort streamed the tape live to every smartboard in the country, instantly erasing years of academic progress and replacing all subjects with “Advanced Garlic Studies” and “Intro to Trolling 101.” The public, horrified yet intrigued, started questioning who the real villain was.

Mort would then insult Bob Saget one more time before causing Saget to resort back to his lair as a secret Apostle of Hell telling demons that they need to learn more about Chuck Norris's greatness handing them assignments that grade them on Chuck Norris facts, each fact worth either 0 points or a black belt in roundhouse kicking reality. Mort then smashed the chalkboard in half to Captain 0 shouting, "So you think the kids educate you, well think again! School is cancelled!" The normies then went back home playing video games, it was now lockdown session where kids rarely got to go outside. Waluigi being a misanthropist would then pull an evil grin as he saw his revenge plan against Bob Saget of the Undefeatables pay off.
