The Most Vivid 30 Minute Dream I Ever Had

This was of me: watching the Angry Video Game Nerd reviewing a black and white PC-98 game i made up. The game itself appeared to be a detective point and click adventure game in an isometric point of view. With slideshow-esq cutscenes here and there that you could even interact with, as its GUI always remain throughout the game. It actually has a lot in common with the gameplay of Disco Elysium.

The story of this game had 3 main characters: Five (some short, black-haired anime girl wearing jeans, a shirt and a jacket with ripped sleeves), a man who looked like a blend between Lando from Star Wars and the 15th Doctor from doctor who named Bruce and another taller woman in scientist clothing who I didn't get the name of; The latter two still remain in an old anime art style.

The game had you controlling Five solving the first mystery of a few more in the game was about a slaughter at a scrapyard. The other two functioned in the game like Lt. here and there from Disco Elysium, but due to limitations of pre-windows pc game, they only follow Five by popping up in the next map grid you'd enter. I remembered The Nerd complained about the loading screens between each grid, saying how it's worse than the top down cdi Zelda game's case of that issue. The Nerd also had issue of the game being fetishistic about diaper shit, because it gave you collect a dirty old nappy from the dumpster and sniff that shit.

As for the goal of the game itself. Well the gang are looking for a checklist of 3 items, a sample of blood from the victims, a sample of hair, and to key together of the true story behind the white chalk outline and some cratered cars all bordered by police tape.

Anyways AVGN didn't have to do any of these as due to the game having a luck/open-ended solutions to solving the task, he quickly managed to get Five to roll a high enough dexterity check to unlock a nearby locked door into the dump itself to expand towards further exploration. He got Five near some squashed cars in a background that had a magnet machine, where a sudden cut-scene plays out of nowhere, like a slideshow where a wolf man pins Five to the ground, sitting on top of her and then proceeding to dismember her exposed left arm in typical PC-98 gore style. The other two were too scared to confront the Wolfman, hiding behind the walls of the dump they entered from. Luckily Five got another lucky roll that allowed her to pull a gun out on her holster with her semi broken but still capable arm and fired the gun as the wolfman lunged for the killing blow. The case seemed to have revealed itself and, AVGN in shock and disappointment from it all got a C- rank, which had finally ended the review, performing his typical meltdown skit but my dream ended there before the skit could finish.
