Smart Mort, also known as Professor Duck, is a "character" in CrösS;OVEr, the official fanon series for the 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 Saga. He is the smart and intellectual alternative personality of Mort with an I.Q. of 9,999,999,999 I.Q. (The Highest I.Q. of any known fictional character) compared to Mort, who's I.Q. is unknown but extremely low like that of Patrick's.
His soul has been consumed by Mort since the beginning and the entirety of the story and the only way for this personality to be released is by making Mort drink coffee. He also has a completely different voice. His voice actor is Liam O'Brien.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Given his name, Smart Mort shares a lot of similarities with Smart Patrick from the episode Patrick SmartPants. They are both extremely intelligent, strict, stoic, wise, no-nonsense, calm and patient people. Although, Smart Mort can also be very prideful, dramatic, and grouchy, constantly wanting others to give him the proper respect he believes he deserves not too dissimilar from regular Mort. Furthermore, he possesses a very sharp tongue and an quick wit somewhat similar to Mr. Peabody where he loves being eccentric while making witty observations about everything around him. Lastly, he may not like showing it often, but Smart Mort can be very grateful and compassionate at many times.

Since Mort's origins are a complete mystery, it is also unknown how Smart Mort came to be. All that is know is that Smart Mort is one of Mort's alter-egos ever since Mort could remember.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Smart Mort is so smart, he makes characters like Pickle Rick, L, Sherlock Holmes, and Doctor Who look like toddlers.
- His form and YHWH are said to be derived from the same source. He is considered to be linked with the Aeonic counterpart to Mort. He can evolve further to become Transcendent Mort, a stage two of his evolution.
- Unlike Transcendent who is Mort at his most divine form, Smart Mort is still ultimately close to the same as regular Daffy in personality being a narcissist.
