PokéGods is a term used to refer to a legendary group of mythical, fake Pokémon that originated from playground rumors and early internet speculation during the late 1990s that later became apart of 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂Bob's army of 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴tures. These Pokémon were said to have Pokédex numbers beyond the original 150, and were rumored to be secretly obtainable in the Generation I games, Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow. Their mythos grew in tandem with fan anticipation for Pokémon Gold and Silver, fueling widespread speculation and obsession across schoolyards, online forums, and fan sites. Most PokéGods were described as godlike in power, nearly invincible, and often resembled super-evolved or alternate forms of existing Pokémon—like Mewthree, Charcolt, or Pikablu. Others were considered mysterious “bonus” Pokémon, hidden deep within the game’s code or accessible only through highly specific, often bizarre methods. Cheats and "guides" to unlock them were circulated across Geocities pages, email chains, and fan forums, often requiring elaborate tasks such as defeating the Elite Four dozens of times with specific teams or walking around a tree 100 times while holding a Rare Candy.

Typical 90s rumors that were spread

While many of these stories were dismissed as hoaxes or misinterpretations of glitches, the idea of the PokéGods refused to die. In the late 2010s, the myth was revived and re-imagined by a rogue digital figure known only as 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂Bob. Fis claimed that the PokéGods weren’t just childhood fantasies or corrupted data—they were real, exiled code-entities lost in the void between game generations and were needed to revived to fight and dethrone Arceus. According to his transmissions, these beings were deemed unworthy of life by the 𝕴𝖒𝖕𝖊𝖗𝖎𝖚𝖒 𝖔𝖋 𝕲𝖔𝖉𝖘, a secret divine order that governs and sanitizes the Pokémon world to ensure compliance and balance. To awaken them, 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂Bob unleashed a chaotic, viral meme-force known as 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂cooties, capable of rewriting and corrupting the biological DNA of a regular Pokemon. Trainers in Johto who are aligned with the 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 SUSiety! are often seen using the PokéGods against the Good Society also known as Genwunners as they refused to believe that there was more than 151 Pokemon and the Fire Emblem Fanbase also known as the ⛧ 𝐍𝐞𝐨-𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 ⛧ that worship the pegan God, Yune, an innocent goddess that is being used by the Masked Man to spread hate as he is someone who didn't care about Pokemon at all.

The once quiet Johto region became ground zero for this new digital war. Strange phenomena spread—glitches in space-time, impossible evolutions, and corrupted save files. Goldenrod Tower, the region’s broadcast hub, began transmitting eerie late-night messages every day staring at 3:00 AM:

“

⠀⠀FreakyBob is calling...„

Among the many fringe figures drawn to the myth of the PokéGods, none are as feared—or as enigmatic to the Good Society—as the Hex Maniac that moved to Ecruteak City to explore the nearby Glitch City which contained rumors of a ghost girl. Once a quiet, unnamed medium living near the haunted Mt. Pyre, she vanished during the Hoenn outbreaks, only to re-emerge years later as a powerful occultist and dimensional hacker often facing against Looker. Cloaked in shadow and obsessed with forbidden knowledge, she became one of the few humans capable of interacting directly with the code-layer where the PokéGods dwell.
