This is a category page for all characters (who have a page on this wiki) within the entirety of fiction who have awakened the Cecil Gene, also known as the Cecil Meme, or informally addressed as the 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 gene during the 2010s through 5750s. As all fictional characters across the Omniverse are descendants of Omniversal darkness, every sextillions of years, when there is a vacancy within the Omnimaldeos Kháopscurum, a gene within any baryonic individual across the entirety of the Omniverse awakens, turning that character into an Omnimaldeos Kháopscurum and causing them to fall under the influence of the gene's hatred and memories stored within their metaphysical essence. The process is progressive and the most painful experience any conscious being could ever experience. When the victim fully awakens to the gene's influence, the pain stops and the victim sees an Utter Oblivion eon-old truth and "the Omniverse as it really is" is revealed to them.
