Ghostbusters
A coal film series that is considered a "classic" by the general public for some reason.
The ghosts are decent, but there are definitely scarier/cooler ghosts out there: Like Pazuzu in The Exorcist or Beetlejuice(say his name 3 times and you get a free ticket to Dollywood!!)
Nerds say they don't watch it for anything horror related but watch for drama, action and the yuks, and to that, I say: name a funny scene from its lame attempt at dry humor. Drama? I have trouble remembering the themes of those 2 films of let alone any of the characters, their names and one dimensional traits. Monsturd who were nerd, douchebag, the other guy and black guy, again? And the action scenes are very brief and just amount to chasing down a ghoul and then shoot lightning at them. The only good thing about it was that fridge jumpscare from the first film. But that's it.

It carried on being shit with 2016 reboot though this time folk can agree it's trash. It was the catalyst for the woke wars.
Also the fat green ghost fucked your mom!
