Zelgadis Greywords, sometimes called Zelgadiss in spelling for some reason, is a Magic USER in the Omniverse Saga. He is often seen with his best friend, Hiei and both have really similar personalities and are kinda autistic while replacing Kurama for good after Kurama's decision to ditch Hiei for good due to both have conflicting views like even when Hiei was at his lowest, he and Shouko were always there for him. He is helpful hand of the ๐๐ป๐ฎ๐ช๐ด๐ SUSiety! and a agent for them because they can use him for his magic shit. He doesn't really trust them and wants to support the Anti Game & Watch Movement but Hiei told him that they're stupid mofos and its best to stay for the SUSiety which Zelgadis did."Yeah im totally not the straight man archetype that's been done before" - Zelgadis lying
He is a chimera, not created by Dr. Insano though but by his "Great-Great-Great-Great Grandfather", Rezo The Red Priest who just turns him to it because Zelgadis wanted more power but made him 1/3 Human, 1/3 Demon, and 1/3 Golem. Rezo might not even be his grandpa and is probably faking it. Rezo later died in Ohio as he got gangraped to death by shooter gangs. After his transformation, he became more cynical and lonely and basically the next few years training magic and living alone as a mercenary across the world meeting various people he often would forget. His true goal was to get the Philosophers Stone so he can turn back to a human.
He then would meet Raphtalia from the shitty show called Rising Of The Larp Hero AKA a anime for isekai dweebs and only Season 1 is good. They then would travel to Tokyo where they would be formed up and instantly brought into the Shiloh Pact which was a very dysfunctional group not built to last. Zelgadis was basically the punching bag of the group but usually always staying with Hiei or Kurapika since he kept getting controlled by Raphtalia as he was just a object to her goals and realized that as he strangled her to confess which made them have a borin spamming magic battle until Raphtalia forces her hand to break up the pact without Kurapika's permission as it was just broken.
Zelgadis later found a another Chimera in the streets called Rose and started to take care of her since she was just a homeless kid however she was useful in power so Hiei let her in. Zelgadis was fucking broke spending so much money for Rose to eat and tried getting Hiei or Shouko to help him but Hiei kept repeating that he wanted her to stay. He was like always helping Hiei in fights and all but has some solo feats, he fought Franklin Bordeau and killed him, easily killed Bonolenov Ndongo, defeated Soft. J. Kimblee but he fled, and various others. During the mental breakdown of Hiei, Zelgadis was trapped somewhere's by Chrollo but fled when he battled Chrollo with max strength but it was a tie. He went to get an apology to Raphtalia but was stopped by her as she wanted to never accept it as Zel strangled her and suffocated her but she kicked him in the balls and fled without any magic shit. Zel truly thought that he was a true villain and not a Robin Hood type he wanted to be and cried for hours while singing with his guitar. He then reunited with Hiei and fought alongside him during the Homunculi Battles as Zel finally got a Philosophers Stone to turn him back into human but it shattered in his hands as Hiei thought it was the real one leaving Zel utterly depressed. That ends his arc for awhile and did go to Hiei's Wedding as his groomsman.
