This template inserts an invisible HTML anchor onto a page, enabling direct links to a specific location without requiring a section header.

Usage

Specify the unique anchor ID as the first parameter. An optional second parameter allows you to display visible text at the anchor point.

Avoid using this template within section headings, as doing so breaks automatic section linking in edit summaries.

Also the ID is case sensitive.

Example

Description Input Output
With visible text {{anchor|ID|This text is anchored}} This text is anchored

Showcase

Here an example will link to the rick roll anchor on the engineer's page: The Engineer
