The Härlequin Empire (ハーレクイン帝国, Hārekuin Teikoku), also natively known by its citizens as The Tröll Empire (トロール帝国, Torōru Teikoku), is a totalitarian police state with a declining population that seeks to protect their heritage. Formerly a Xenos interstellar terrorist empire in the 2010s with the aim to spread chaos and misery around the world, their goal had shifted to protecting the Imperium of Gods with the Egyptian Pantheon in particular with Kek and the Douche being their primary deities. Most of the original members of the troll empire had left, and what is left is nothing but unrecognizable and is actually in reality either Anti-Trolling or trolling others to protect USERs and NORMies. By 2020, following five years of a censorship campaign against followers of Donald Trump in a NPC territory called Reddit as well as subversion from FEDs led to the destruction of the Troll Empire at the hands of the Reddit migrants all of which were orchestrated by the Neo-Satanists. At some point this regime would show up in the New Threat Arc to aid the Agency Against the Freaky Society, terrorist NPCs recruited across the multiverse to stop what they deemed as brainrot, or internet cancer. Being a member of the empire is defined as the partake in the act of theater ever since they converted into NORMie-ism. Once a thriving empire, they now carry the former 8chan flag for their nation in hopes to remember the days before the Neo-Satanists wrecked their precious website with FEDposting in 2019-2020. Now known for 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚛𝚒𝚌𝚜, the ancient art of Commedia dell’Arte descended from Italy once used to give others of joy, is now repurposed as a tool for political correctness to replace behavior now seen as degenerate sometimes referred to as "lolcow" behavior or weening. The one unifying belief that the known regiments believe in is the central figure of such "Church of Kekism" which is that of the enigmatic deity nicknamed the Laughing God also known as the Douche with his partner in crime Kek being just as central.

The Harlequins see no distinction between art and war and are commonly known for being keepers of the Black Library which hold Chaos Magiks provided by the Douche and Kek who have replaced their original more lawless behavior with a righteous cause to fight the Satanists that had initially screwed them over. With the power and will from Kek, they are true "neutrals", just like the higher members of the Imperium of Gods such as YHWH and they are kept around by the Imperium to prevent other parts of the organization from being too dogmatic in case the Good Society needs to create an excuse for a nation to revert back to the "Good ol' Days" to fight the Satanists or freakers that are reported to undermine their institutions. The Laughing God that once identified as a troll god seeks to keep society in check by replacing one perceived "degenerate" society with another "degenerate" society keeping the cycle of civilization from completely falling apart. The Härlequin Empire partakes in meetings with the other nation states to defend their traditions, however the Imperium has mixed ideas on how to cater to their needs with most ignoring their demands, and only keep them as a useful tool for using "Meme Magic" to control the masses. Deep down the Douche is a deeply angry psychopath that enjoys punishing its own citizens for perceived degeneracy. Despite the other states calling them the Harlequin Empire now due to the other more moral NPCs having a grudge against the original Trolls calling them mindless savages, the name of the empire was stuck despite the original founders being exiled way long ago. In the 5730s, the name Joshua "Null" Conner Moon, the original bishop to the Kiwi God had all been forgotten as the NORMies bullied him out of the Imperium. Moon Man had also left seeing the NORMies as far right in the wrong way, aka Boomer Conversativism or Conversativism Inc. as the Groypers call them. Most Groypers are seen as Freaktures of Pepe the Frog, a shitty little goodie-two shoes NPC made by Matt Furie in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Harlequin society and culture is split into three major Imperium police states, Cruenta Regimentum, Candida Regimentum, and Virens Ludus Regimentum, all of which are built from the ruins of troll forums of the past that back Kek and the Douche's ideology of Kekism which is now just repackaged NORMie-ism with Pepe and Wojak symbols hijacked to fit their new anti-trolling narrative for the AAFS and the NPC Alliance. Due to most new members joining being NORMies, Kek and the Douche have to find ways to teach their NPC army, "the gifts of the Aeons" through understanding of chaos magiks by wrapping their minds through information warfare and spiritual recruitment. Weev who while not the leader, acts as a leading figure to helping fight back against the freaky degenerates who seek to overthrow their Sky Gods that have built the ideals of civilization. The other saviors of western civilization believes that if the Egyptian Sun God were to fall, due to the loss of Kek, the West would most certainly be doomed. The death of the Sun God symbolizes the collapse of civilization’s foundation due to many civilizations being built around the Sun. Predictable time (days, seasons), agricultural cycles, law, kingship, and social hierarchy are attacked, time loses its rhythm, authority loses legitimacy, and order no longer has a divine reason to exist. With the symbol of the sun’s return being dismantled, civilization stops believing in tomorrow and meaning of authority altogether. The Cruenta Regimentum who are given the Harlequin class of "Psychopaths" who identity believe in the art of doxxing freakers under the guidance of Weev while the Virens Ludus Regimentum who are given the Harlequin class of "Schizophrenics" believe in spreading the gifts of God's Chosen People through schizo posting in the form of Kekism operating as the truth tellers for the NPCs using a mix of hard facts and tinfoil tomfoolery to spread the Imperium's message of peace, and Candida Regimentum given the Harlequin class of "Autistics" believe in Cobson and the Sharty and don't really to much but hoard coal and gems while obsessing over chosen god, Cobson. All three of these regiments were crafted from the Douche who siphoned Meme Magic from an incarnation of Eris known as Æ-Tan as he fucked her to create three Leprechaun daughters to defend the Härlequin Empire from the Trolls. Once known as the lost Troll deity of New Zealand, the Douche, the Douche seeks revenge against the uselessness of the "Freakers" from an earlier era in which all they did was bash heads against each other as predictable and obvious as usual, calling the "art of trolling" as unorganized madness. These NORMies now as an organized more social collective, seek out to be blessed by Kek to obtain his chaotic meme energy whose energy is gatekeeped by the Douche, however some like Stuart Bitchle fail and eventually fall to the theology of the Brown Pill in anger, kicking them out of the Troll Empire to work with the Gangstas. None truly know how this strange deity dubbed the Douche survived the rise of 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂ism where the other deities in the Omniverse did not. However, every Troll is firm in the belief that the Laughing God escaped into the bounds of reality, existing there, still wearing myriad of disguises while mocking Fhe Who Laughs Louder from behind the veil. Various different Harlequins have different interpretation of the Laughing God but as long as they both fight for the cause of the Imperium that keeps the Laughing God around they will always be one unified nation.

Pre-Debut

Origins

Despite their name, the art of trolling was not invented by Trolls. Instead, it was started by humans before the formation of the group—their leader, the Troll King, merely perfected it around the 1500s. Using his skills, he gathered many to join him, such as women who were also treated poorly, the disabled, and criminals, to besiege the Kingdom of the North, which would become the Tröll Empire.

The number of Trolls only increased after the Troll King took over most of the Scandinavian region of Europe. They later spread to the dimension of Yggdrasil, where they remained throughout the dimension.

Mewmen Colonization

The emerging Mewmen conquistadors, brought from Earth to Yggdrasil by Odin signing a deal with Zeus, would later colonize the Tröll Empire. Some Tröll colonies, though, would rebel against Mewni with the revolution of the Troll King, and the Troll King and his men would later be deemed "Monsters" by the Asgardian and Mewni governments.

• Warhammer 40,000 (Warhammer 40K) is one of the first major inspirations for the 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 Saga. This location starts off as a location for cartoonish antagonists being based on the Orcs as the Trolls from Tails Gets Trolled have nothing in common with the sub faction of Eldar (Aeldari) known as the Harlequins, after the time skip the empire turns into a location for the NPCs, reflecting on how most modern trolls are way more tame and normie compared to their ancient "wild west" of the internet counterpart.

Story

• In Warhammer 40K, this Xenos faction was distinct, in here the Troll Empire becomes a NPC territory forced to comply with a militarized police force called Jannies. The classic era CWC trolls later figured out that /b/ became a hive mind of Redditors with Redditchan (8chan) at the helm. As a result the 2010s era trolls became prime recruits for the Imperium of Gods.
• In response the Troll King would find out what was killing /b/ and travel all the way to the Philippines, to fight Jim Watkins pig farm to slaughter his piggies.
• Later the mods argued that the Troll King was a massive degenerate and he would recruit in order words forcibly kidnap Æ-Tan by holding her daughter hostage in hopes to make Q-boomers mad. The ideals of ED, mostly side with the Freaky Society, even if the organization is nothing more than a bunch of try hard edgy weens that side with faggotry and are called gay and faggot as a result.
• With most of the old style trolling rooted from Discordianism as forms of chaos magik, the post reddit invasion would result in the trolls forced to ally with the Imperium or be a try hard edgelord with the Satanists and Gangstas. The sadistic side of trolling would find themselves with the Gangstas, meanwhile the playful side of trolling would join the Freaky Society. Most of the empire which consisted of Schizos for Kek would plot to turn to the NPCs.

• The original concept for this page was made to be a separate faction from Tails Gets Trolled, but with elements from Homestruck and Warhammer 40K added as recommended from writer, Dung Eater, later the original concept was changed to where the TGT style trolls just align with the freakers to prevent too many main factions in the narrative. In addition to the Harlequins, the location is inspired by many real world trolls such as Kiwi Farms, ED, 4chan, 8chan, and the Soyjak Party.
• The track "I Want a White Enthostate For Christmas", a Christmas parody song that has a few jabs at Jared Kushner was going to be used on this page, but the song couldn't be found due to butthurt liberals censoring YouTube and the author not remembering the creator so instead Kek Kommando from C Y B E R N ∆ Z I is used instead.
