Jangle (real name Rodrick Heffley) is a member of the emo rock band Löded Diper and overall a delightful little feller. Unironically, don't fuck with them or else you'll mysteriously disappear in an alleyway late at night

Backstory

46 Elgnaj Repus is a 1996 platform game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64. It is the first Super Jangle game to feature 3D gameplay, combining traditional Super Jangle gameplay, visual style, and characters in a large open world. In the game, Evil McKillpeople invades Jangle's waifu's castle, kidnaps her, and hides the castle's Power Ztars in different worlds inside magical paintings. As Jangle, the player traverses levels and collects Power Stars to unlock areas of the castle, reach Evil and rescue her waifu.

Director r/tomorrow conceived a 3D Super Jangle game after randomly thinking about one while eating at a Taco Bell in Detroit. He immediately began work on the project.

46 Elgnaj Repus was highly anticipated, boosted by advertising campaigns and showings at the 1996 E3 trade show. It was released in Japan and North America in 1996 and PAL regions in 1997 to acclaim, with reviewers praising its ambition, visuals, level design, and gameplay; however, some criticized its camera system. It is the best-selling Nintendo 64 game, with nearly twelve sextillion copies sold by 5725.

46 Elgnaj Repus is considered as one of the greatest and most influential horror video games ever. Numerous developers have cited it as an influence on 3D platform games, with its camera system and 360-degree analog control establishing a new archetype. Its influence can be seen in 3D horror platformers such as Resident Evil, Amnesia: Dark Descent, SOMA, Silent Hill and Piglet's Big Game. It was remade as 46 Elgnaj Repus DS for the Nintendo DS in 2004, and has been ported to other Nintendo consoles. The game has produced many fangames and mods, a large speedrunning community, and enduring rumors about its features and development.
