With how long and enormous the narrative is, as it is the longest story ever written, Cross-O.versus consists of various forms of mediums like anime, audio dramas, concerts, film, light novels, literature, manga, music albums, poetry, prose, tabletop games, video games, webcomics, etc. Overall, the story is both a celebration and deconstruction of all fiction and all fanfictions. Hell, the concept of the Omniverse itself is a spoof of various archverse tiering wikis such as ''All Dimensions Wiki'' and ''Verses and Dimensions Wikia''.

The title refers to the story's main premise of being the ultimate crossover, with the O in the name specifically standing for "Omni," which correlates to the conception of the Omniverse A.K.A. the aggregate of all fiction. As such within its first glance, the story itself begins as a typical run of the mill heroic crossover, featuring many of your beloved fictional characters, trying to save all realities from an original nihilistic and evil antagonistic faction; similar to the very commonly stagnant and generic good vs evil narratives represented by people such as J. R. R. Tolkien, George Lucas, Tetsuya Nomura, etc. Though, that slowly starts to become ever less true as the narrative continues. The setting in truth, is much more complex, grandiose, cruel, and bizarre. All universes in the end, live in constant conflict. All realities are simply stuck in a state of total war with hostile inter-dimensional metaphysical races from the Omniversal void. There are effectively no truly benevolent or malevolent gods or spirits in the Omniverse, only multiple sides trying desperately to eradicate one another. In the long run, our heroes cannot hope to defeat their enemies, so in the end, our heroes aren't really fighting for a brighter future but "fight for their right for peace, even if it's only for a little longer." In the end, through constant sacrifice and toil, our heroes simply delay the inevitable heat death of the Omniverse. But that's not all! Cross-O.versus doesn't just focus on all heroes, it's a story told through some other perspectives. With the narrative’s multi-perspective structure, it ensures that moments of triumph for one side turns into horror when retold from another faction's viewpoint. A “liberation” becomes an invasion and a “preemptive strike” becomes an unforgivable genocide. Characters are written not as embodiments of good or evil, but instead, as just people warped by their own ideological believes, morals, fears, faults, loyalties, and survival instincts, often performing monstrous acts while sincerely believing they are preventing a greater catastrophe. Each faction is the primary antagonist of the other ones simultaneously, creating a narrative feedback loop of escalation where no side can de-escalate. As viewers slowly learn more about the nonsense that happens in the Omniverse, they are forced into the uncomfortable role of narrative judge, having to weigh each character's actions and decisions to decide what side, if any, deserves to be called “right,” fully aware that such a judgment may say more about the audience’s own values than about the characters themselves.

===Setting===
<center>The story's setting is one of pure conflict regarding the overarching philosophical clash between the "will to life" and oblivion. The story is not about good vs. evil. It is a story about good + evil vs. nothing. All opposing ideologies across all of fiction are forced to unite, setting aside every other conflict to preserve the Omniverse itself. The story also follows the trope of having a consistent and persistent antagonist throughout the entire narrative from beginning to end. This means that there is no secret plot twist true antagonist or a secret manipulator behind the scenes. The main antagonist from the very beginning when the adventure begins is the main antagonist of all fiction throughout the entirety of fiction itself. Although it may sound simple, that is far from it. Even though there is a persistent main antagonist and threat looming over everyone throughout the narrative, there are multiple factions and sides that either split apart or are revealed as the story continues. Similar to stories like ''Tails Gets Trolled'', ''Kingdom Hearts'', and ''D.Grey-man'', the main antagonists (Trolls, Darkness, and Noah in respective order) are always the main threat throughout the story. But as those three narratives continue, it is made clear that there is more to the conflict that meets the eye with various other factions and antagonists manipulating the protagonists and going against the main antagonistic factions/force for their own mysterious goals. That is what the setting of Cross-O.versus is. A story that begins as a simple quest to stop the complete destruction of the Omniverse devolves into a story about Omniversal conspiracies, manipulation, and long hidden lore while our heroes are ever oblivious to it all like the sweet little pawns that they are to the setting.</center>

It details the actual 'crossover' section of the story as this is where all heroes play the role of (decoy) protagonists. From beginning to the end of the first half, the story is about our beloved heroes and iconic villains joining forces together to defeat the greater threat that is the pro-oblivion eldritch forces that desire the complete destruction of the Omniverse. Many characters are survivors of their multiverse's annihilation and as such, all form an alliance with various opposing ideologies across all existences to create the ultimate coalition of opposing forces known as the Omnists. Within the beginning, it is shown that the eldritch antagonistic forces manipulate many universes in order for the heroes and villains to fight against each other which will then lead to the destruction of said multiverse. The exact thing happened to the multiverse of the NPCs and 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝓮𝓻𝓼 who were all manipulated by the antagonistic force to fight against each other and destroy their multiverse. Many other multiverses have faced this tragic fate and as such, the Omnists are now on a duty to defeat the antagonist no matter what even if it means working along their arch-enemies and long hated nemeses like angels and demons working side by side together as both good and evil wish to continue existing. Although simple at first, things become much more complicated. As the story continues, it becomes substantially convoluted with various new factions and sides emerging who are all against each other while also against the main antagonists while furthermore, also being antagonists to the protagonists. Many protagonists split up and becomes enemies against each other. Omnism basically is proven to be impossible for our protagonists due to the fact that individualism and free will causes them to go against one another regarding each other's specific morals and ideologies. Furthermore, some protagonists start questioning the higher ups within Omnism as it is shown slowly over time that the Omnists are morally corrupt and commit awful genocides for the greater good. Overall, the protagonists forget about the antagonists and instead, start fighting each other with each protagonist becoming an antagonist to another protagonist. Ultimately, the first half ends with all our protagonists dying with most being killed by the main antagonists.

The 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐬 is the second half of Cross-O.versus. Unlike the first half, which focused on the interactions between countless established fictional characters and being a crossover, the second half centers almost exclusively on original concepts and characters born from the aftermath of the demise of our protagonists. The second half is notable for shocking audiences with the realization that our dead protagonists were not the true protagonists of this story whatsoever but instead, were mere mentor archetypes for the true protagonist. The true overarching protagonist is none-other than a meta-narrative virus that believes themselves to be the self-proclaimed "monadic avatar" A.K.A. they're the most batshit insane and mentally unstable character in all of fiction and they have no fucking idea what the hell is going on at this point of the story. Due to their contrarian and sadomasochistic tendencies, they declare themselves against all factions within the narrative and promises to find out the true nature of the conflict and what really is going on. Because of their refusal to join any side and to be fully neutral, independent, and contrarian, the Omnists label him as the "number one enemy of the Omniverse," basically declaring him as important to defeat or even greater to defeat than the main antagonist. Speaking of the main antagonists, they also seek to defeat the main protagonist as well. During this introduction to the second half of the entire story, the protagonist also meets and encounters the main deuteragonist, a mysterious and psychotic child just like the protagonist (apart from age.) Despite the deuteragonist unquestionably dying long before the second half began, they inexplicably exist again within the unreality that they both find themselves stuck in after the events of the first half. The newfound duo form a strong bond and together, with the additions of further villainous allies, try to find the "true cause" that's the ''cause'' of everything behind the scenes. The two form People Who Have No Idea What The Fuck Is Going On (P.W.H.N.I.W.T.F.I.G.O.) as a way to combat and learn the truth of this entire Omniversal conflict and all the newfound enemies they made by simply investigating something they were never allowed to know in the first place.</center>
