The '''Save-Ums''' (ウムを保存する, ''Umu o hozon suru'') are the titular overarching protagonists of their eponymous franchise. They first formed in 2002 during the events of Rise of the Save-Ums TV movie and reside at Save-Um Central. They would always help out with any problem that happens to anyone.

Post-timeskip, they would turn to the dark side, seeing the Good Society as compromised, more about preserving power than protecting people, and they would befriend [[𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂𝓑𝓸𝓫]] and [[𝓓𝓪𝓯𝓯𝔂 𝓓𝓾𝓬𝓴]] during this time. It would also be revealed that they are all eldritch gods of ''extremely'' high power that predate time itself. While they all can solo fiction, each one of them are equally powerful. Ka-Chung in particular is an Eldritch cosmic being who was mostly responsible for the shift and sided with 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂𝓑𝓸𝓫 back when he was known as Wario as well as Coop.
