==History==

===Origins===
The turtle who would come to be as Raphael was born circa 2000 and kept in a pet store in Freakyville when it was still known as "Countrymusicville" along with his three brothers, who would later be named Leonardo, Michelangelo and Donatello respectively. When the four turtles were bought by a young boy named Juancarlo Albaez (a younger version of him) and carried out into the street in a glass terrarium, until suddenly, a canister with a radioactive mutagen from Chernobyl bounced off a truck and smashed their casing. During which Juancarlo tripped and fell on the sidewalk, sending the turtles, along with the canister, into a nearby sewer drain and coating them in the mutagen. Also Juancarlo fucked his knee up big time, which caused him to replace the leg with the upside down body of his neighbor, [[Harold Goodman]]. 

The four were coated in the green ooze and later found by a 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 rat named [[Remy F. Ratatouille]], who was living in the sewer that the turtles fell in at the time. He collected them all in a bag to keep them safe. Soon, the turtles and Remy began to develop more human qualities and increased intelligence due to the exposure to the mutagen. Remy named the four after Renaissance painters because he's a massive art nerd who most likely stole something from the louvre once, and since he was also the pet rat of the culinary chef [[Alfredo Linguini]] in France and also somehow was also the pet rat of the martial arts master [[Hamato Yoshi]] in Japan (before Hamato was assassinated, thus being exiled to France and meeting Alfredo before having to escape France once the restaurant owners discovered Remy's presence), over the next fifteen years, he introduced them to French and Italian gastronomy and is the reason for the four's pizza addiction; while at the same time he taught them all he'd learned from Ninjutsu from watching his master and wanted it all to lead up to him and them finally fighting his greatest foe: [[Stuart Little]]. Sadly, such battle never occurred, as divisions and feuds later began between the four turtles. Remy would have to fight Stuart by himself. 

Dubbing themselves the Ninja Turtles, they all became incredibly skilled ninjas, and stayed in the shadows while honoring their craft. Raphael especially grew rather aggressive and temperamental, with a tendency to be sarcastic and cynical. Each turtle used their own unique weapon in combat, with Raphael's being a pair of [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sai_(weapon) twin sai].
